Welcome to RealWaynesboroVA, a blog started to track the real estate market (and related news) about the Waynesboro and Augusta County real estate markets. My name is Jim Duncan and I am a Realtor who lives in Crozet. Over the past several years, the Charlottesville and Waynesboro markets have become closer and closer and more intertwined; as such I have been spending more time on this side of the mountain working with buyers and other clients.

I currently write the RealCentralVA real estate blog, the focus of which is to “analyz(e) the Charlottesville and Central VA real estate market and more” and RealCrozetVA, which is a blog dedicated to the Crozet, Virginia area. I also write at AgentGenius, a national real estate magazine and occasionally at VARBuzz, the blog for the Virginia Association of Realtors.

I’ve written about Waynesboro many, many times at RealCentralVA and RealCrozetVA.

All of this writing (and the required reading and analyzing) accomplishes at least one thing – I know real estate backwards and forwards. I am aware of and knowledgeable about local, state and national real estate trends that directly and indirectly impact local buyers, sellers and residents.

I aim to write about local politics, growth, infrastructure, real estate market trends, and anything that may tangentially relate to the Waynesboro/Augusta County real estate markets.

I don’t want to sell you anything. (in fact, I don’t sell) I am a Realtor who represents my clients – be they buyers or sellers.

My request for you is simple – please read, comment if you feel the urge, and feel free to send me any story ideas you have. Writing is time-consuming and I’m not so proud as to shun others’ ideas.
